Amber D. Krotky, MS, PAS, currently serves as Quality and Product Development Manager at MARS Horsecare US Inc (BUCKEYE™ Nutrition) in Dalton, Ohio.
She currently sits on the AFIA Equine Committee and the Ethics Committee for American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS).
She earned her BS in Animal Sciences in 1999 and her MS in Animal Sciences-Equine Nutrition in 2002 from Oklahoma State University. Her graduate work focused on varying levels of calcium in yearling horses and has helped deepen her love of growing horses and broodmare nutrition.
Being raised in Eastern Oklahoma helped to cultivate her love for horses, cattle, and the way of life associated with farming and ranching. Amber has been involved in agriculture and the horse industry for over 40 years.
She’s shown All-Around and Reining horses on state and national levels with APHA, AQHA, PHBA, and 4-H. When she’s not talking about nutrition or horses, Amber enjoys volunteering in the community and serves as a committee member for the Tough Enough To Wear Pink Horse Show, which has raised more than $830,000 in patient assistance for the Ohio Health Foundation to support cancer patients and their families. She also is secretary of the American Youth Horse Council Board of Directors, judges horse shows across the country and supports local, state and national 4-H horse programs and events, and various breed organizations.
