Sarah Nelson grew up around horses and was an active member of the Pony Club. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science from the University of Essex.

Joining Mars Horsecare UK Ltd as Care-Line Nutritionist in 2009 gave her the opportunity to combine her passion for science and her love for horses. She now provides advice for horse owners, riders, and veterinarians on all aspects of practical nutrition.

Nelson has supported a number of WALTHAM™ science projects. She translates key messages into practical advice through science blogs and social media content.

In her role as Product Manager, she is responsible for the technical management of all SPILLERS products, including recipe formulation. She works closely with Professor Pat Harris to provide nutritional consultations for clinical cases and champion evidence-based, practical nutrition knowledge.
